MARQUETTE, Mich., July 24, 2008-- For a decade husband and wife team Stan Bigham, R.T.(R) and Terresa L. Bigham, RN, CHPN, have filled the growing need for in-home health care services in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Allied Health Staffing throughout the United States.
Our goal is to keep our seniors in the comfort of their homes as long as possible, as well as to provide necessary in-home care for very ill children. "We want to thank our team at Arcadia, who are highly skilled and passionate about their work, for helping us reach this milestone."
Arcadia Health Care-Marquette opened its doors in 1995 with the Bighams' active in its management. Three years later they became the owners, and that same year the company became the In-Home Care Personal Grant provider for Marquette County.
Services have evolved over the years along with community needs. In 2004, Terresa Bigham, Director of Nursing, became certified in hospice and palliative care to ensure that its staff provided the best quality of care at the end stage of life. Last year, Arcadia was awarded four grants to provide respite care for the primary care givers of patients receiving care at home.
Stan Bigham R.T.(R), Administrator, a Registered Diagnostic Radiographer and a background in education as a Diagnostic Radiology Instructor has run the medical staffing division of their business from day one. Our office has received multiple awards for the Greatest Geographical expansion in one year.
The Bigham's are active in both professional and community affairs. Mr. Bigham recently accepted the Vice President appointment to the Upper Michigan Case Managers Society and Mrs. Bigham has also accepted a Directors position with this local chapter of the Case Management Society of America. Stan Bigham currently serves as chairman of the city's Senior Millage Committee to ensure adequate funding for Marquette Senior Services.
From the early home care beginning our office has grown to the large private duty home health care agency we are today, serving pediatric to geriatric clients throughout Marquette County. "We look forward to serving the county's needs for the next decade as well."
